Regulations
"Picnic" Licenses
$10 fee must be paid at the time of applying, along with these (3) completed forms:

*Application materials need to be submitted to the Clerk with enough lead-time to be added to the regular monthly meeting agenda for approval at least 15 days before the event. If a special board meeting is required to approve, a $50 late fee will need to be paid at the time of application to offset some of the meeting expenses.

Building Permits
Any permanent structural changes to the property, new buildings, remodeled with size changes, new siding, change in size of windows, fences, etc.

Dog Licenses

Any dog that is kept on your property or is in your possession for more than 30 days and is at least 5 months of age is required to be licensed by Monroe County. This license must be renewed annually.

License must be obtained and/or renewed by March 31 of the license year. An additional $15 late fee will be assessed for each license purchased after March 31, of the current license year.

License fees for 2024 are:

$30 for male or female unaltered dogs ($45.00 After March 31)

$15 for spayed or neutered dogs ($30.00 After March 31)

To obtain a license you must provide proof at the time of licensing that the dog has a current rabies vaccination from a certified veterinarian. Your veterinarian must also provide proof of spaying or neutering.

ATV/UTV Ordinances
Promote the safe use of all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) and utility terrain task vehicles (UTVs) in Monroe County and designate a limited number of routes upon county trunk highways (CTHs).
Lawn & Snow
Keep lawns mowed and walks shoveled, and all kept out of the street.
